This envelope was posted in Derna on the coast of Libya on 14th Feb 1944 and then flown by military air mail which was subject to an accident resulting in this envelope being damaged by oil. The plane crashed possibly in Italy, the destination of the cover is not clear. The stamps were printed for use by the Middle East Forces and were valid in Cyreneica from 1943.
