Air Mail Leaflet

  • Digital Collection

1997-015-01

A leaflet produced by the Post Office giving details of air mail routes and prices for air mail services in 1938 at a time when letters could be sent by air to many countries around the world, except for the American continent.  Aircraft were not sufficiently developed to fly the long distances required to cross the North Atlantic.  Only the Zeppelin service was available at this time.

This booklet can be viewed at the museum by appointment.
