This ambulance envelope contained the Post Master’s descriptive note and the remains of a letter recovered from the Imperial Airways Armstrong Whitworth XV Atalanta Class plane ATHENA G-ABTK. The note had the date of the accident in August, but this was officially corrected as the plane caught fire on 29th September 1936. The Australian mails were forwarded to their destinations on 8th October.
