Loan Box Collection Scheme
Bring history alive for your pupils with Postal Museum loan boxes. We cover many curriculum areas with artefacts to display, handle and inspire writing activities, from Ancient Egypt to today.
All of the boxes contain teachers notes, photocopiable worksheets and activity ideas.
To borrow for half a term please call 01225 460333 or contact the education officer for more details.
These boxes are available for a small charge of £15 per half term (£20 including delivery). Please contact us if you require a complete box contents list.
Our current loan boxes include:
History of Writing (a cross curricular box)
Contents includes a wide range of writing equipment including Wax tablets, Stylus, parchment, quill pens, dip pens, blotters, slates and chalk.
Victorian Objects (History KS2)
Contents includes Letters, Slates, Dip Pens, Quills, ink and costumes.
World War II Objects (KS2)
Contents will include Gas Mask, Ration Books, WWII artefacts, postcards, telegrams and writing equipment.
Early Years play based box (Foundation stage/KS1)
Contains a selection of play post office equipment and costume for use in the classroom, audio visual resources and books.
